Element: Use operator interface
  • Identify SCADA terminals relevant to own workstation and functions
  • Use keyboards, track ball, monitor and/or stand-alone controllers to access or interrogate system
  • Use correct level of access and find all relevant screens and information
  • Access message section and acknowledge messages
  • Input and output information according to program and organisation requirements
  • Obtain data and information from SCADA including process, supply and product chain data
  • Interpret data and information as required by own job
  • Find and use relevant historical data and information
  • Use manufacturer manuals or specifications to expand knowledge of SCADA system relevant to own work
  • Determine and prioritise required actions

Assessment Tasks

Include guidelines about how well the candidate has to perform a task for it to be judged satisfactory.
